Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result experience. Our own servers do not retain those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services produce routine logs such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time of access. We review aggregate information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use this information to operate the directory, fix issues, measure traffic, and improve reference pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and outside search tools. The privacy terms of those services govern information submitted after leaving Edina Residents Directory, including information entered in sponsored result tools.
Data Recipients
Providers that host or support the directory process technical logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or as otherwise required by law.
Security and Retention
The directory uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the purposes described here. Because it has no user accounts, it does not maintain a visitor password or account profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
This directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Minnesota’s Consumer Data Privacy Act, Minn. Stat. §§325M.10–325M.21, provides a state consumer-privacy baseline. You may ask about personal information a website holds and request correction or deletion where applicable. Because we retain very little, we review the contact mailbox and available server logs, then remove what we can. Use the Contact page for a request. Public records kept by Minnesota state, county, or city custodians are outside our control, and requests about those records belong with the holding office.
