1. Nature of the Directory
Edina Residents Directory is a private reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections related to Edina, Minnesota. It links to sources but does not host government records. It has no affiliation with a government office, court, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use the directory only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, duplicate, or republish directory content at scale
- Disrupt the directory’s operation or security
3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
The directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither its content nor a result from a linked tool is a consumer report. Neither may be used to evaluate eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. External Resources
Government portals and outside services, including sponsored search tools, maintain their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their information, availability, pricing, or data practices.
5. No Warranties
The directory is offered "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that content is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will operate or return correct results.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the directory or a linked resource, including decisions based on records reached through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the directory operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from misuse of the directory or a violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Original directory text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed excerpt is permitted; republishing full pages or systematically copying material is not.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use following a revision constitutes acceptance.
10. Restricting Access
We may block or limit access, without notice and at our discretion, for a user who violates these terms or abuses the directory.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Minnesota law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Minnesota’s public-data baseline is the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ch. 13, including §13.03; that statute governs records held by public custodians, not this private directory.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
